Dr. Theo Anderson
Executive Director
Dr Theo is a highly accomplished professional in sustainable development with a prestigious PhD from the University College of London. He holds multiple master’s degrees in environmental fields from renowned UK universities, complemented by a BSc in Development Planning from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. As the Executive Director of Friends of the Earth-Ghana and Vice Chair of Friends of the Earth – International, Theo has led over one hundred projects, including fourteen restoration initiatives in Ghana. His expertise in fundraising, environmental impact assessment, organizational development, and research has furthered environmental preservation, and he actively contributes to national and international environmental committees. With a wealth of experience in project management and administration, Theo is committed to making a significant impact in sustainable development and creating a greener, more sustainable world.
Nehemiah T. Odjer-Bio
Programme Coordinator, Biodiversity
Nehemiah is a master’s degree holder in Environmental Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and also holds a first degree in Natural Resources Management (Silviculture and Forest Management option) from the same university. He has keen interests in sustainable and inclusive forest governance, environmental water quality monitoring, environmental research and conservation. Nehemiah has over the years, studied the impacts of environmental variables on growth performance of trees for past restoration projects. He has been the head of Friends of the Earth-Ghana’s forestry and biodiversity programme in the past seven years. Over the years, he has represented Friends of the Earth Ghana at both the Africa and International levels on several occasions. He is a professional with experience in project management, forest operations planning, community engagements & consultations and hands-on project implementation. He has managed over ten forestry related projects at Friends of the Earth-Ghana with funds from donors and organisations including the European Union, the Spanish Government through UNESCO, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, One Tree Planted, Friends of the Earth Netherlands, among others.
Mary Sam
Communications Officer
Mary is a Bachelor of Science degree holder in Natural Resources Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is passionate about biodiversity conversations, pollination ecology, environmental education and field research. Mary is currently the communications officer and has represented Friends of the Earth Ghana within the African continent on several occasions.
Prince Charles Soumah
Project Officer
Prince holds a Bachelor of science degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana.And has worked as a Field/Discrepant Officer at the Cocoa sector. He is currently the Project Officer for Friends of the Earth’s(Ghana) Keta Anlo Mangrove Restoration Initiative (KAMRI). Prince is energetic and passionate about helping local communities to protect natural resources and to sustain their livelihoods.
